Renovating an Apartment Building: Tips

I had always wanted to be an entrepreneur, so when I saw a local apartment building up for sale at a great price, I decided make the investment. I am a manager by day, so I thought I was ready to be a great landlord. After I had trouble attracting new tenants, I decided to try investing in a few upgrades to see if I could attract more tenants with the added features. I hired a local contractor to work on my first project, which was a fitness room. I remembered that I always looked for buildings with them when I rented apartments! I then had some work done on the grounds and in the apartments themselves. The building is completely full now, so I realized it was a good investment. I decided to start a blog to share my renovating and construction tips with anyone who needs them!

3 Benefits Of A Ductless Mini-Split Heat Pump For Your Tiny House

Making sure that your tiny house is properly heated and cooled during the hot months of summer and the bitter months of winter is probably very important to you. However, you could be wondering about the best possible heating and cooling system for your tiny home. Even though you do have a lot of options, a ductless mini-split system can be a great choice to consider. These are a few reasons why this might be the best type of heating and cooling system for your tiny house.

1. They're Easy to Install

First of all, since you might be trying to do as much of the work yourself as you can when building your tiny house, you could be looking for an option that is easy to install. When compared to a more traditional central heating and air system, you will probably find that a ductless system is a much easier choice. Many people are able to install these systems on their own with minimal help from an HVAC professional, so it's a good choice for someone who is looking for a DIY option.

2. They Don't Take Up a Ton of Space

Obviously, you probably want to look for ways to conserve space in your tiny house. Space heaters, wood-burning fireplaces, window unit air conditioners and other similar options can take up a whole lot of room inside of your tiny house. Ductless systems, however, are pretty streamlined and don't take up a lot of room at all. Then, you can conserve as much of your space as possible for other things.

3. The Cost is Lower

If you're on a budget when building your tiny house, you could be looking for a heating and cooling option that is affordable. Due to the savings on the labor and the general cost of these systems, you might find that you will save a lot of money by installing a ductless mini-split heat pump in your tiny house rather than choosing another heating and cooling option, such as a more traditional central heating and air conditioning system.

As you can see, there are a few reasons why you may want to consider a ductless mini-split heat pump for your tiny house. If you talk to an HVAC professional, like at Salem Heating & Sheet Metal, Inc., you can find out more about these systems and can determine if this is a good option to install in your own tiny home.
