Remove The Cabinet Doors And Clean The Wood
Use a power drill to remove the hardware that is attached to each cabinet door. Lay the doors on a flat surface that is covered with drop cloths. Remove handles or knobs from each door with a power drill and set the pieces aside. Apply wood cleaner to the cabinet frames and each door with a sponge that has an abrasive surface. Wipe off each clean cabinet with a lint-free cloth in order to remove fine particles that remain on the wood.
Apply Bright-Colored Paint And Secure Stencils
Cover the portions of the wall that are adjacent to the cabinets with strips of painter's tape. Fill a paint gun's tank with mixed latex paint that is a bright color. Use the paint gun to apply an even coat of paint to each cabinet's frame. Apply a coat of paint to the front of each door. Wait for the paint to dry on all of the wooden surfaces before adding another coat. Use double-sided tape to secure stencils that depict a floral design to the front of each door. A measuring tape may be needed to assist you with lining up the stencils in an even manner.
Fill In The Stencils With Craft Paint
Use various colors of craft paint to fill in each stencil. Add one color at a time and wait for the paint to dry all of the way before using a different color of paint so that none of the colors of paint run together. Wait for the paint to dry thoroughly before removing each stencil. Insert the hardware pieces on the front of each door and tighten them with a power drill. Line up the doors and insert hardware pieces that are needed to attach each door to its frame. Use a power drill to tighten the hardware pieces. Remove the strips of painter's tape from the wall.
